Release history

  1. v1.0.1build 18 · 2026-09-01 · android, windows

    - Fixed the sharing address on Windows: computers with WSL, Docker or a VPN installed could show a virtual adapter's address (e.g. 172.25.96.1) that no other device could reach, instead of the real Wi-Fi address. Your address is now also published to other devices alongside the usual details, so they connect to the right one instead of looking your computer up by name and possibly picking the wrong address. - Other devices are now ignored if they advertise an address that can't be reached (such as an unplugged network adapter), so browsing and pairing don't stall on it. - Auto-download no longer waits on a device's local address every time when that address has just failed — it goes straight to the internet relay and retries the local one periodically. - The refresh button on the Share screen now re-checks this device's network address as well as re-scanning folders. - Fixed internet sharing reconnecting to the relay in a loop: changing a setting or switching network opened a second connection for the same device, which knocked the first one offline and started a cycle that never settled. It also now backs off properly instead of retrying every second, saving battery and data.

  2. v1.0.0build 13 · 2026-07-21 · android, windows

    - Security: internet sharing is now protected against another device impersonating yours on the relay — each host proves ownership of its identity with a private key, so no one else can claim your address or intercept traffic meant for your device. - Security: hardened PIN pairing on the host — repeated wrong PINs are now rate-limited and locked out for increasing periods, and the PIN check is timing-safe, making it impractical to guess a device's pairing PIN by brute force.

  3. v1.0.0build 12 · 2026-07-17 · android, windows

    - When you switch Wi-Fi networks the app now re-scans automatically, so devices pick up each other's new address without a manual refresh. - Connecting to a device now falls back to the internet relay automatically when its local address can't be reached (e.g. after changing Wi-Fi networks), instead of failing with a timeout.

  4. v1.0.0build 11 · 2026-07-15 · android, windows

    - Internet access now works with no setup — the relay is built in, so there's no address or secret to enter. Just toggle "Share this device over the internet". - **Share over the internet, not just your Wi-Fi.** File Share now comes with a built-in relay, so you can reach a host device from anywhere — no need to be on the same network or set up a relay address by hand. Turn on "Share this device over the internet" on the host (Profile — Internet access). You can still point it at your own relay if you prefer.

  5. v1.0.0build 10 · 2026-07-07 · android, windows

    - Downloaded files stay ticked when you leave and return, so you keep a record of what you've already downloaded (and can still Open them). - Host option to only share files added in the last 7 / 30 / 90 / 365 days, to filter out old files. - Windows now shows the app name "My File Share" in the title bar and taskbar (was "myfileshare").

  6. v1.0.0build 9 · 2026-07-07 · android, windows

    - Phones/tablets keep sharing with the screen off or the app in the background (a "Sharing files" notification shows while active) — no more "could not load files" when the host's screen sleeps. - Browsing now follows a device's current network address, and shows a clearer message (with detail) when a host can't be reached. - Your settings (device name, PIN, paired devices) are now included in Android's backup, so they can be restored after a reinstall. - App now shows its proper name "My File Share" under the icon. - On phones/tablets, "Add album" now lists your photo/video albums with a count each (Camera, Screenshots, WhatsApp, — ) so you pick ones that actually contain media, instead of guessing a folder. - Fixed the Windows taskbar/title-bar icon (it was still showing the default Flutter icon) — now uses the app logo at all sizes.

  7. v1.0.0build 8 · 2026-07-06 · android, windows

    - Fixed the Windows and Linux app identity (was still showing the old "uk.co.vpsl" in the Windows network-permission prompt) — now Burlea. - Sharing history: an audit view (Share settings menu) of every file downloaded — which device received it and when. - Files aren't re-sent to a device that already has them unless the file changes (auto-download now tracks each file's version). - Moved "Check for updates" into the settings ( — ) menu. - Enlarged the header logo (removed the plate behind it) so it stands out more.

  8. v1.0.0build 7 · 2026-07-06 · android, windows

    - Auto-download: from a paired device's menu, turn it on and pick a start date/time — new files added after then are fetched automatically (about every 10 seconds while the app is open). - New app icon, and refreshed headers on both Share and Receive with the logo (on a rounded plate) and app name. Tidied the top bar into Refresh, a settings ( — ) menu, and Help. - Added a "Check for updates" button (in the help/about sheet) to check immediately instead of waiting for the automatic check. - Fixed the Share screen's pairing PIN and address running off the edge on narrow phones. - Delete a file on the host after downloading it, from the file's menu (with confirmation; on a phone host the owner confirms on that device). - On Windows, optionally start the app automatically when Windows starts — pair with auto-share for an always-on host. - Sort shared files by newest, oldest or name. - Clearer download status on each file: blue when queued, green when done, red if it failed (tap to retry). - Option to start sharing automatically whenever the app opens.

  9. v1.0.0build 6 · 2026-07-03 · android, windows

    - Preview photos before downloading — the file list now shows thumbnails, and tapping a photo opens a full-screen, zoomable preview. - Download several files at once — select multiple (or "select all") and grab them in one go. - Share photos and videos from this phone or tablet — pick a media folder such as Screenshots and it appears on your other devices (no intrusive permissions). - Access your paired devices over the internet, not just the local network, when a relay is set up — with the same PIN pairing. - Choose where downloads are saved: your Downloads folder (or a subfolder) on phones and tablets, or any folder on desktop. - Open a downloaded file, or its containing folder, straight from the app. - See exactly which files each shared folder is sharing, and hide subfolders you don't want to share. - Refreshed Burlea look with light, dark, classic and high-contrast themes, and a help button on every screen.

  10. v1.0.0build 5 · 2026-07-02 · android, windows

    - Added an "update available" prompt that alerts you when a new version is released. - Windows desktop build now supported. - The app version and About details now appear on the help screen.
