MyYTChatDownloader
Download a YouTube stream’s live-chat replay to a file with a click — no command line needed.
Windows
Overview
Saving a YouTube live-chat replay used to mean a fiddly yt-dlp command at the PowerShell prompt. MyYTChatDownloader turns that into a paste-and-click desktop app: drop in a stream link, choose how you want the chat saved, and press Download. It fetches the chat with a built-in copy of yt-dlp and writes it to a folder of your choice. It reads only chat — never the video itself.

Features
Download chat the easy way
- Paste a YouTube stream link and press Download — that’s it
- Built-in yt-dlp, so it works out of the box with nothing to install
- A queue with live progress; each finished item lists the files it produced
- Open the download folder or copy a file’s path in one click
Save it your way

- Raw JSON — the complete .live_chat.json, nothing dropped
- Optionally keep the raw JSON alongside a tidy file, and save the video’s .info.json metadata
